Unique to NXT Training, this lacrosse strength and conditioning program analyzies the specfic energy demand and athletic considerations of lacrosse and only trains its athletes with exercises that can enhance the athlete.  

Biomechanical demands such as a flexible, stable, and strong torso, make lacrosse a unique and demanding sport, and NXT Training will train its athletes based on these lacrosse-specific demands to allow for optimal growth and achievement.

UPCOMING PROGRAMS AND EVENTS

NXTtraining  13-Week Training Program     Beginning November 29th

Tuesdays and Thursdays  
Session I: 6:45pm - 8:00pm
Session II: 8:00pm -9:15pm

  • The NXTtraining program is designed and implemented by Steve Musacchio, MS, CSCS, USAW, President of NXTTraining and Director of Strength and Conditioning for the Episcopal Academy

  • This is a college based strength and conditioning program combined with speed and agility training.
  • The program utilizes plyometrics, Olympic weightlifting techniques, ground-based functional resistance training, upper body resistance training encompassing rotator cuff function, and multi-planer core strengthening techniques. 

  • Each athlete will be tested before the program begins and every 8-weeks thereafter to measure improvements in body composition and performance.  Each athlete will be given a high-density foam roller to learn how to recover properly, and all athletes will be given whey protein supplementation to aid in goal management.

  • Each athlete will be tested before the NXT Training program begins and every 8-weeks thereafter to measure improvements in body composition and performance.

  • Each athlete will receive NXT Training workout apparel. 
  • The NXT Training program is 13 weeks long, and  meets Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Motivation Fitness in Conshohocken, PA.  
  • Feel free to contact Coach Steve with any questions about the winter program or about any aspect of winter training for lacrosse even if you cannot join the program.
